The use of an intravenous contrast agent makes it possible to clearly visualize the vascular system and detect tumors, inflammatory processes, and other abnormalities that may not be visible on a standard non-contrast CT scan.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>What Does Contrast-Enhanced CT of the Pelvis Show?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Detailed structure of the pelvic organs, including the walls of the urinary bladder, intestines, uterus, and prostate gland<\/li>\r\n  <li>The size and borders of tumors and their relationship to surrounding tissues<\/li>\r\n  <li>The vascular network and blood supply to organs, including ischemic changes and thrombosis<\/li>\r\n  <li>Inflammatory processes and fluid collections that may indicate abscesses or other pathological conditions<\/li>\r\n  <li>Changes in lymph nodes that may suggest metastases or infectious processes<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>How Is the Procedure Performed?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>The contrast agent is administered intravenously before the scan.
