CT Scan of the Forearm

CT of the forearm provides cross-sectional images that allow detection of even subtle pathological changes that may not be visible on standard X-rays.

Your physician may recommend a CT scan of the forearm if you experience persistent arm pain without an obvious cause, limited mobility, swelling, numbness or tingling, visible deformity after trauma, or when fractures and bone tumors are suspected.

The examination can detect:

  • Traumatic injuries — fractures, cracks, and subluxations
  • Degenerative changes — osteoarthritis and osteoporosis
  • Inflammatory conditions — osteomyelitis and rheumatoid involvement
  • Tumors and tumor-like lesions
  • Congenital abnormalities

Thanks to its high resolution, CT provides precise diagnostic information that helps the physician determine the optimal treatment strategy.
